Add thanked/thanks stats to user section of posts

By 'user section' I mean the left frame where user name/avatar/post count resides.
<------------------

I post on other forums powered by vBulletin, and I can't tell you how psychologically impactful putting these stats front and center are for both the user soliciting advice and the person giving it.

Folks take pride in their thank count, subconsciously causing them to be more helpful, and other folks can spot the knowledgeable users and (potentially) lend more weight to their advice.

Just my two cents

I don't know much about vB to know if that would require updating the software, but that's an expense that would have to be absorbed by the Administrator. If that's the case, then a valid argument would be that two mouse clicks (on the user name, then on statistics) would accomplish the same thing as what you're proposing - with little effort, and for free.

Beat me to it Mike, should have checked first!

Would it be possible to enable or add the 'thanks meter' feature that many forums use?

When someone has a high thanks rating, you know they're on the ball and it's a great indicator of who's in the know.

It also becomes a real badge of honor.

No, this is not me! Just an example so you can see what I mean.
