Are we allowed to post "For Sale" type threads?

I have a bunch od Remington Power fasteners and would love to offer them to the do-it-yourselfers on this forum but I don't know if that is allowed or where I would post it.

Any Ideas?

At present we do not have a For sale area on the forum
You are better of using something like Craigslist to bring in local buyers

I saw a bunch of these at a local Lowes on clearance. They were moving slow so I made the manager and offer for all of them and he accepted.

I pulled out a few boxes for myself and planned to sell the rest on eBay but there wasn't any interest.

I think the shipping killed the auctions even though I offered to combine it. I could have gotten a ton of nails into a flat rate box but I don't think people caught onto that.

I seem to always need them when I work on my house so after ebay failed I tried Craig's List which also failed.

I was hoping I could post them here since I selling them for a fraction of what they cost.

But I understand if that is against the policies.

I am curious as to why you don't have a for sale type forum. I'm sure people would love to be able to buy tools and hardware from fellow DIYers

Once you allow buying on selling on a web-site you open up a whole can of worms
Problems arise from sales gone bad
Spammers/scammers come on & try to sell
People sign up just to sell
Plus more problems..........

Only the owner of the site can tell us the exact reason
But these are some of the problems I have seen on other sites
