shop vac recommendations?

My trusty "Jet-Vac" is on its last legs, I'm afraid. The switch has been replaced, the brushes are almost gone. And it needs a filter. Might be time to replace it. I'm really tempted by the Fein, because it's SO quiet. But the price tag keeps me from pulling the trigger. Any recommendations? I'd pay extra for one that doesn't sound like a jet engine.

I have a Ridgid WD-1450 Peak HP 6.0, really not too loud (they have a mufler for it if its too loud) and it will suck start a Harley Davison.

Dust bags and HEPA filters are reasonably priced and readily available.

I pulled the trigger and bought a Fein a few years ago absolutely no buyers remorse here. It's a great very quiet vacuum. (But then again, I am a tool whore)

I bought a filter for the old vacuum, so hopefully it will last a little longer. On the way home from the hardware store, I stopped by a Pawn Shop. I coulda bought a whole vacuum for just $15 more than I paid for the filter!
