Sears floor jacks
I originally bought online a craftsman 50139 3 ton floor jack for 59.99 ( reg 99.99)but changed my mind when I got to sears and bought the craftsman pro 50156 4 ton jack for 95.99(reg 159.99).Anyway the cheaper one hot 3 1/2 stars and the more expensive pro one I got only got 2 stars. Are craftsman jacks that bad?

The one I got, the craftsman pro 50156, worked fine lifting the rear of my Dakota R/T club cab to do rear drum brakes.

Sears floor jacks
I don't trust most online reviews as they can be manipulated
in the seller's favor or else trashed by a buyer who bought a product (just on lower price) that was under rated for his application.

Sears floor jacks
I have one I purchased from Sears around 1973-75. Paid around 90 something bucks plus tax. It may have been on sale.
Still working fine. Made in good ole Japan! I'm afraid that something comparable today would be in the neighborhood of $300 plus. I would be skeptical of floor jacks purchased nowadays from Sears or anywhere else. Probably all Chinese. |

I don't know this for a fact but I agree when I see DIY market floor jacks from HFT at prices from $70 to $199.
Also Amazon has a compact two Ton Trolley Jack for $33 that may a good buy for occasional use. (It comes in a case)
