SDS max vs. plus bits on SDS max drill

I have a SDS max drill. I also have a SDS max to plus adapter that allows me to use SDS plus bits. Since SDS plus bits are much cheaper than SDS max bits, I'm wondering if there is any major disadvantage for me to use SDS plus bits on my SDS max drill?

Though I understand there are likely not SDS plus bits larger than 1", hence though I'll have to use SDS max bits for those sizes.

SDS max vs. plus bits on SDS max drill

SDS Max are simply more robust and rugged, and meant to stand up to daily professional use. Nothing wrong with what you want to do for occasional drilling IMO...........
