Screw driver for replacing dimmers on table lamps

Hello Friends,
I have two beautiful IKEA lamps and both of them have stopped working. None of my screw drivers are able to open up the dimmers. Can someone tell me what screw driver should I get to do that? Is it the jewellers screwdriver set like this one . Anything like this available in USA. Couldn't find anything online?

Any hardware, or box store is going to carry jewlers screw drivers.

I noticed some manufacturers are securing with one or more security screws heads (i.e. spanner).

Take a look at this wiki (, scroll 2/3 way down).

I personally use (, but got to warn you that plastic casing sucks.

Your screw heads may be the Torx type.(also called Star)

If they are Torx screws, here is an assortment.
Note that the Torx Security bits will work fine on regular Torx screws.
Or a six piece set.

Or it may be faster to just take the lamp to a GOOD
Hardware store (not a Big-Box store) and get the right individual tool.
