that's been around for atleast 3-4 years now. they're now marketing it in the woodworking stores... before it was more of an "industrial" thing.

It's just more $$$$ than most homeowners and Hobbiests want to / can afford to pay

Safe Table Saw


I think I first saw demos of this almost 10 years ago. Very cool to see the videos of a guy running a hot dog into the blade fast, and the dog only gets a 1/16" deep cut while the blade comes to a slamming stop.

I'd consider it for a future saw if it cost a few hundred extra, on a $2000 cabinet saw. Losing a finger will really slow down your production for a while!
