Default Ryobi Lithium drill chuck

I just bought a new Ryobi lithium drill set. Something I've noticed with the drill concerns me. When I release the trigger the drill stops with a pronounced click and often the keyless chuck loosens and the drill or attachment drops out. I am wondering if this is a defect in my drill or a design issue with this new drill. I have gone back to using my old Ryobi drill with the new lithium batteries (which are great ).
