Portable Bosch 4100-09 with gravity rise stand

Hi all, New to this forum. I have been considering getting a new portable table saw. So many models, so many opinions. I have it narrowed to the Makita 2705X1 or Bosch 4100-09, both with the gravity rise stand. I've read a few rumblings about the Bosch. Seems motors have gotten toasted. I did speak with a gentleman in Omaha NE about the Bosch. Seems they have tracked the problems down to a metal shielded bearing in the brush end of the motor. They change out the bearing to a neoprene shielded one and no more issues. Sounds like most of the problems were due to running the saw too long. Dave said to shut it as soon as you detect a problem and its a much cheaper fix. Strangely enough I haven't heard much about the Makita. I would assume Makita to be a top rated brand, but once again strangely quiet. Well let me know what you think. I currently have a Sears 10". I've been told its a 1947 vintage. Great saw, almost like new. Just to darn heavy to haul around. Thanks to all, Jim
