Modifying battery - bosch impact driver

Hi there,
I have the Bosch GDR 9.6V impact driver, both batteries are dead.
I am thinking about replacing the batteries with LiPo ones..
The 2 cell lipo is rated 7.4v and when full it reaches 8.4V, I tested it and the tool is working good.
I was wondering if i couls use 3 cell LiPo (11.1V empty and 12.6V full), I saw people using it on cheaper drills and it works fine.

What do you think??

Thanks!
Elad.

why not just replace the cells with similar ones?
but you don't know how long those cheaper drills will last with the higher voltage.
what will you use to charge them?

This one is not cheap..it's blue Bosch..
I Fly RC helicopters so I have a charger.

I don't have cells to buy in my country so I will have to ship them over, the cost is not worth it as far as I can find

Thanks
Elad.
