Makita bhp451 vs Makita bhp454
So I have finally settled on a Makita li-on hammer drill. Looking between the bhp451 and the bhp454 which is the newer version I believe. I believe what they changed was went from 3 speeds to 2, and on the 454 they make a point of saying it has all metal transmission.
So anyone have any experience with both of these models? Good, bad. etc? If not, what are the thoughts on the all metal transmission being important and worth the extra cost?
Thanks for any help.
Ok so no thoughts yet. Well now Im thinking look at the Dewalt 18v li-on hammerdrill. Well there are not many reviews on this at all, and what I've heard on the Dewalt li-on is hit and miss anyway. However looks like I could actually get the dc927kl cheaper and easier than the Makita.
So the drill itself looks/feels/sounds great. But what are people's thoughts on the Dewalt nano-phosphate li-on batteries/system? Good, bad or stick with their Nicad?
