Great Find

At a yardsale this weekend I picked up a Makita Table Saw in perfect condition for 80 bucks. After I had already agreed to buy it and given him the money the guy mentioned he had bought it for a project and then never used it again. I'm sure there was probably some pressure from the Misses to get it out of garage as well.

The one I got looks brand new with some saw dust, blade is in great shape as well. I wasn't out looking for a table saw but couldn't pass it up. Just starting out I think this will be a great addition to my arsenal.

Ok...in the spirit of the old message boards that were migrated to Google (example usage), you my kind-hearted fellow DIY'er -- SUCK!

Nice score!

Great Find

Boy you walked away smiling from that one! I bought one of those back in about 1983 or so, when I was in the trade, and it has been used, abused, rode hard and put away wet for 25 years-- and its still running strong. I think I had to replace the power cord once (kept getting pinched). Nice find, and good luck with it!
