framing nailer identification

and sorry i don't have a picture right now.

i am hoping someone can help me out.
i bought a coil fed framing nailer from a yard sale for $15. i have used my dads bostitch N80CB before and it looks to the t exactly the same. the only difference is that the label was almost completely off and its blue (even under labels and under screw heads. (most of the paint is off anyway). did Stanley bostitch ever make blue nailers?

i can make out the first two letters of the label; they are "ST" (i was thinking Stanley) and the patent numbers on the plastic magazine belong to Stanley bostitch (after a google search). also it does not work so i am rebuilding it and the parts inside match the N80CB diagram EXCEPT for 1 little part. that is why i am asking. its part of the main hammer chamber and its unaccounted for in the diagram. could it be another manufacturer?
