framing nailer: coil or traditional
 

Looking at Bostich or Bosch framing nailers. Torn between which style to go with coil or straight. I see advantages to both. Decking,roof sheathing, and simple studs will be my main objectives with it. Any thoughts?

I prefer a stick gun---They are easier to get nails for---coil guns are larger and designed for the high production framer---

That being said--I have never worked with a carpenter with a coil gun--in this area most use stick guns

If it's for DIY, I'd go with the one that takes cheaper, easier to find, better variety of, nails. If you're a pro, then you already know more about it than I do.
