Dremel twist-on chuck got caked and won't release

Help! This twist-on chuck on top of this Dremel got caked and won't release even after profuse WD-40ing because I stored it twisted on for a long time. Normally, the shaft gets locked for twisting by pressing the little blue button. I tried holding the shaft with needle nose pliers (nothing else would reach the narrow shaft between the chuck and housing) and rotating the chuck with really long channel locks for leverage but to no avail... Any ideas? The lesson learned is not to store such caps twisted on.

You can try penetrating oil or a little bit of heat.
