DIY Essential Tools - More Ideas

Hey,

In a blog post I recently pointed . However, I find my post quite tiny and incomplete. Are these tools enough, bearing in mind I am not a big fan of big renovation projects?

Best regards!

I'll keep my eyes open for suggestions for improving this post. It is all for the reader :)

I didn't see anything about a hammer in there. That's the only glaring deficiency I could find this early in the morning.

2nd item on the list, right after the tape measure.

Absolute must, some type of adjustable joint pliers
similar to Channel Lock pliers.

My favorite that is also good for odd shape gripping
is this little one from BAHCO

Instead of the one set of Allen wrenches shown you really need Three.
reason being that now with all the bathroom and lighting being imported almost all will have Metric size not USA (SAE) size set screws, same goes for Star (Torx) fasteners.

Bob, normally I would agree with the 3 sets.
But the OP and his blog are from the UK. They probably don't need the SAE set.
:-)

A small flashlight. I like the LED ones on a headband for hands free use.

Oh yeah, and a pair of safety glasses.

I'd add a flat pry bar or a nail puller equivalent. Very handy to help lift/push/pry something.

Add to the list a cats paw. Nothing better than getting out a nail

Found a very handy flashlight the other day, combines both the light and a laser pointer:
