I have acquired a DeWalt 10-inch compound miter saw that's four or five years old. I need to change the blade, and the manual doesn't say if the bolt holding it on is reverse threaded or not. I have tried (gently) to turn it in both directions without success. Does anyone know which way I shoud be turning it??
Sorry, dial up is too slow sometimes to view videos, so maybe this is redundant, but I just walked back up from the shop, and the blade holder onner bolt on my Dewalt 717, 10" compound slider, is LH. I don't know, but imagine that it's not something they did on just certain saws. Not sure that I had noticed before, but the washer is even marked! With trifocals though, I don't rely on such subtle marks; I have it marked on the side of the saw with a Sharpie!
