Craftsman Miter Saw

I have model no. 137.212290 10 inch miter saw. Lately when making cuts I noticed accuracy has been off and blade smoking and burning wood. I checcked blade alignmennt with fence and angles and they were good. I put on a new blade and same results. I did notice that if I grabbed the blade it moves side to side as if it may have a bad bearing on the cutting shaft. Has anyone experienced this with this saw and or changed the bearings? I have the manual and they list a needle bearing and a ball bearing.

Craftsman Miter Saw

I had the large ball bearing presswd off today and new one pressed back on. After re assembling saw I still have a slight deflection on blade. Would it be worthwhile replacing needlebearings at the end of shaft ? has anyone ever had this problem with a 3 year old Caftsman saw? If so what did you do to get it right?

Craftsman Miter Saw

Buy a new saw, different brand. Sell the Crapsman and list all the upgrades you did. Seems that Craftsman quality has been in decline for years, at least with the saws.
