compressor for hvlp

Is this husky 2 gallon 1/3 hp 100 psi compressor enough to run this HF "1.5 CFM @ 30 PSI suggested" sprayer? also the sprayer says it needs a 3/8" hose with 1/4 coupling, can i assume a 3/8 hose on the compressor? it comes with 1/4 connectors.

sorry for the newbie questions its my first time getting my own compressor and I have a small budget to stay in.

thanks

Air consumption: 6 CFM
Ayuh,... It'll take awhole lot Bigger compressor than that tiny 1 you linked to...
The gun calls for 6cfm,... That tiny compressor don't even list it's CFM, I'm guessing because it ain't very much...
Nailers take very little air,...
Sprayguns take Massive amounts... I'd think you're lookin' at atleast a 3hp model, but a 5hp is more realistic...
With the 3hp, you'll spend more time Waiting for the compressor to catch up, rather than painting...
With that Tiny pancake pump,... You just be Waiting...

That's not a HVLP gun either. It's a higher pressure siphon gun. At least 3hp and normally 5hp will get you in the HVLP game.
