Chain saw given late rights by repair shop

My faithful old Dolmar 116 SI was deemed 'not worth fixing' by a repair shop that I know and respect.

Sad,it's hard to find a machine 'made in west Germany' any more.

I think parts are still available piston worn and cylinder walls scored.

Dog gone it that was one fine tool.

I picked up a Husquavarna last year--not bad,but nothing compared to the old Dolmar.

Any one here ever rebuilt one of these? Is the jug replaceable ?--Mike---

Sorry to hear about your tool's demise. Never heard of a Dolmar though. My Stihl was made in West Germany, works great. If you can't get parts for yours, the least you can do is make it a nice wallhanger in your shop or garage. I have old tools all over my shop walls.
