Can't get Radial Arm Saw to bevel

About all I can say is Liquid Wrench or regular solvent and compressed air. Otherwise I dunno.

Can't get Radial Arm Saw to bevel

I too have a bevel problem with the bevel function on the 113.198111.

I opened mine up and found that the wedge bevel spring is cracked! Plastic!

I'm trying to replace it, but the part (815836) has been discontinued! What is the next step? Do I try to find a tool and die maker to make me one (out of metal??) Does anyone have the same saw/part lying around and I can buy the part??

Any help would be great!

Can't get Radial Arm Saw to bevel

Hi! I have what looks to be the exact same saw, same vintage, same problem. I doubt you'll check this 2+ year old post, but maybe. Ever get the bevel to work? Mine used to work but it's been a while.

Thanks.

Tom

Can't get Radial Arm Saw to bevel

I gave up and picked up a miter saw and table saw. Will use this saw only for cross cuts, but probably won't hang on to it long. It's not made all that well. I wonder if more discontinued pieces will crack as quite a bit of this is just plastic.

ry, Make sure your Radial Saw is calibrated for 90░ Cuts.
Easiest way is with a framing Square
They are ~$7 at the HD
