antique scraper?

To flimsy to be a scrapper, looks like a gage to check different profiles on something.

antique scraper?

It is a steel fleam for veterinary (and occasionally for human) therapeutic bleeding (bloodletting).

Your godfather was more than a master woodworker it seems.
