Before you buy a truck figure out how many times a year you need to haul something and what it would cost to have it delivered or rent a truck. (For instance Menard's will rent you a truck for about $20). Then compare that to the cost of the truck. The delivery/rent usually works out thousands less than buying a truck especially if you include the extra day to day gas costs you'll have when your not hauling.
