Hello,
This is my first time here and I was wondering if I could get some help. I had a house build a couple of years ago. This house has Aluminum double-paned windows (non-tilt). Today I was trying to open one of the windows and as I was pulling it up, I heard a loud pop. Thinking I had broken the window, I took a closer look. It looks like the window spiral (?) has come out of the tube (not sure what the technical term is). Does anyone know how easy it is to repair this, as my window will no longer stay up. I have pictures posted at

so you can see exactly what I am talking about. I know there is a special tool I have to buy to repair this, but am not sure about it's use? Does anyone have any experience with repairing these?
