it should support it, but be sure there are no loose connections and the table does not move back and forth.

Will Table take the weight of a large aquarium?

thanks for reply,my worry is that the only front supports are the 2 struts at the front you can see in pics,theres no partision walls that go to the top of sideboard,i was going to put a 2x2 post from top to bottom of sideboard and on bottom to the floor behind the front left strut as central as i can because theres a shelf at back,cant put 2x2 post behind right strut as there is a partision in the way,i was also going to fill gaps above legs(see pic)with wood so its better distrabuted over full legs,does this sound like a good idea?im in no way a carpenter but this i should be able to do if you think it would make sideboard stronger? thanks

Weight of water. 1 liter = 1 kilogram. Add the weight of the aquarium.

I suspect the sideboard can handle this but it is a beautiful piece so don't risk it if you have any doubts.

The weakest part is the trestle base that only carries the edges of the cabinet. Do you think this thing will support about 600 lbs?

hi do you mean the legs? there is a bar running the length of sideboard that struts on the base running back to front rest on,but i see what you mean about it holding weight on 2 corners of each foot,i was going to fill these gaps with wood in the hope that would spread weight better?sorry i dont know terminology but hope it makes sense

Yes, the legs. Another issue I see is that the grain on the wood of the weight bearing section is vertical. Not the best way for it to run with that amount of weight. The piece wasn't designed for the use it will get.

240l = ~64 gallons= 8.3 lbs per gallon = 531 lbs = ~241 kilograms

Thats a lot of weight
I built a stand out of 4x4 uprights & 2x6 supports for my tank

I would not trust that to hold the weight
