Will keeping the fan running help?

I read that if we leave the fan on the heating unit set to run continuously that it will help with my humidity problem. Will this also make our electric bill go up?

Some kind soul, help me out here.

Not sure about the humidity, but you can be sure your electricy bill will increase

A furnace service guy years ago recommended that I leave the fan on all the time. He said that the air circulation helped to circulate the warm air and thereby the furnace would fire up less. It's a hard thing to measure but it seems to make a bit of difference. I don't think furnace fans pull a lot of power but maybe a HVAC expert will see this and add their comments.

The fan itself will not pull too much extra power, but seriously decrease the life of it. If it was designed to kick on for a couple of minutes every hour, than you are talking about running it 20-30 times longer than it was designed to.

I always heard the H/VAC system reduced RH levels.
