check Craig List in your area.
Our son purchased a beautiful one for about 200.00.
He had to go take it apart, haul it home, and re-assemble it.
It's pretty large, complete with a big slide, swings,
monkey bars, a fort...etc...and it was in great condition.

It was well worth it...like someone said, they're not used for very long,
the kids quickly outgrow it.

If you think "kids" playsets are expensive -
Wait tell you get into "adult" playsets -
Way too much money!

Ditto on CraigsList. My brother in law got a screaming deal on one. Moving it was a trick. We removed the swings and slide, moved the "house" whole. Big U-haul flatbed and a bunch of straps.

When I was a kid we had an assortment of appliance boxes. At the time we didn't know we were playing in trash and had a good 'ol time.
