Where can I purchase a base flange?

I need to purchase some base flanges. I guess they use these for railing. What type of supply houses stock these? I need it to fit 1" pipe or conduit.

Home depot carries those for conduit....

edit....I believe you will find them in the plumbing section....they are not where you would expect.

The ones home depot sell are in the plumbing section and they call them flooring flanges. They are different then the pic you posted. They are made to have the pipe screw into them. They dont have set screws

The fencing section has square ones with set screws---

Google search for store fixtures---I've seen them use round ones there.

Grainger sells to home owners in New York State right over the counter:wink:..Maspeth,Hauppauge the birds in Melville didn't even know about the radio commercial telling DIYers to come on in....going in you better have all the info because all they know is numbers and are totally not technical and will not give advice as on here

Well, we got a heavy rain this week, so my internet connection is too S-L-O-W to allow me to do much searching, but check out Kee Clamp, or something like that. I believe that they are to those fittings like Unitstrut is to that type of rail system or Crescent is to adjustable wrenches. As for Grainger, yes, they were always commercial trade, but, in my area anyway, anyone can walk in. They still want a company name, but I have been in there when someone walks in off the street, and the counterperson actually coaxes the customer to make up a company name, and they proceed with the sale. And, as Biggles mentioned, they are now advertising to the general public on the radio; I had to hear that one several times before I was sure, but yup, I am sure that it's addressed to anyone and everyone.

Just tell them you work for Acme.

I did a quick Google search for "railing base flanges" and came up with pages of possibilities so did not start listing them. Duplicate my search and you should be good to go.

with all the DIYrs they had to open the counter to homeowners if you can't get it at HD/LOWES your gammed transformers,motors,contactors...especially on the HVAC side

Boat fittings tend to be brass (or brass plated) or stainless for fittings subject to any sort of wear. PVC if decorative railings.
