Where can I buy a small cylindrical foam padding?

This is a pull-up bar for the doorway
See the cross-hatched bicycle handle thing?
It's to prevent the door sill paint from scuffing.
Mine just has a foam tube there.
I can use either style above.

How can I fabricate or Google search something generic for a few bucks?
What would it even be called?

Any box store will sell pipe insulation in a few different sizes. Can't tell your size, but it's certainly cheap enough to work for you.

That looks like it would work. They only sell this in 6' length. Wasteful.

You do know that you can use the Foam pipe insulation anywhere. Most times people will take an old hose, cut it for putting over areas that will rub against something, then wrap tape.

Bicycle or motorcycle hand grips. What is the OD of the tubing?

Search for "foam handlebar grips". I just did that and found several companies that sell a wide variety of foam tubing in different sizes and colors.
You can also usually buy handle bar grips inexpensively in the bicycle section of any sporting goods store.
