We are planning to install a hot tub in our backyard. We have gotten conflicting information about the 'surface' that we should set the tub on. We wanted to put it on a concrete slab but the cement company is charging a really expensive rate. Can we install the hot tub on an alternate surface like brick laid in sand? We'd appreciate any advise.
I don't think bricks in sand would be reliable. A alternate method may be a wood deck built on concrete piers. Built close to the ground this would normally be cheaper the a all concrete pad and should be suitable.
im a bricklayer an i never heard of a hotub being built on bricks and sand . got to be concrete i would have thought . Just a thought but why dont you mix your own concrete as the tub wont be that big it would be easier id have thought
