I need to drill and tap a hole, the bolt size is 7/16, what size drill bit would I use to do this?

Here is a tap drill chart that will size any hole you need to tap.

Nice site joed, you have compiles a lot of useful information there. I do have one question...on the Electrolytic Rust Removal page there's a reference sodium carbonate, i.e. washing soda. Is there a common off the shelf name for that product? If not where does one acquire it?
