What should I do with basement asbestos tiles
I have tiles in my basement that a friend told me were made of asbestos. The house is from the 50s. I intend to finish the basement and my question is how should I handel the tile. Can I just cover them with cement or should I rip them up.

Why concrete? Just go over them with ever finished floor you want. Once it's covered it there is no danger.
The only time there would even be the remote danger is if you start cutting them up so the fibers become airbore, even then it's a remote chance with floor tiles.

the floor is uneven so what I wanted to do was use a leveling agent. That is what I meant when I was saying concrete

How far out is it?

It has a dip in the middle that at one point was deep enough for s puddle.

Puddle? Just how damp is this basement? This needs to be addressed before any flooring goes down.

Those problems have already been addressed and taken care of.

If the tiles are stuck good and solid, leave them in place.

If you do rip them out make sure you keep everything wet. Throw away your shop vac filter when your done. That being said, keep them in place if you can
