What is this? Mystery items on interior Wall

Any idea what these items are? I was checking a house for investment purposes, and it was on a wall in the kitchen. I thought it was some smashed bugs, but up close, it doesn't look like bugs.

I put a close up of the item on the wall. I wasn't sure if this is a mold spore or something I should be concerned with.

It looks like the remains of the roots of a climbing plant or vine that was pulled off the wall. You say it's in the kitchen. Was the building vacant for a while that would have allowed for a vine to grow there? Perhaps there was a climbing plant in a pot there previously. Just a guess.

Well if it is not the remnants of a climbing vine my next guess would be egg clusters of a yet to be determined insect.

to me it looks like someone had something hung there, and when it was removed they attempted to fill the holes with colored caulk. Rub it with something, that should tell you if its dirt or something cuz it will come off. If it doesnt come off, its probably caulk or marker or something

Sure as heck looks to me as the same "footprints" that Ivy would leave when the vines take root to something. I have these on the brick and exterior window moldings of my house. Easily scraped off and painted over.

Thanks. I guess there isn't a concern about mold. The house was vacant for at least a ,month or two.

It will take the paint with it, if removed. That's probably why its still there.
