Question

What do you put around a door/doorframe to keep light from coming in?

Hello there! I'm a newbie here and this is my first post and I have a question.

I rent a room in a house full of college students, and sometimes the hall light wakes me up because it comes into my room through the cracks around the door.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to put around the door/doorframe to keep as much light out as possible? is there something I can buy at WalMart or do I have to make something myself?

Thanks!

Some self adhesive sponge weatherstripping should keep most of the light out. Wal Mart or a home center should have it and its not expensive.

Just like sammy said. Home depot has a ton of different kinds, sizes, and shapes. It's in the same aisle as the door knobs.

After you close the door,......
Hang a Blanket over it,.....
It'll Stop the Light,+ cut down on the noise alittle.....

Thanks! I used weather stripping like you all said around the door frame and portions of the door itself (to fill in the "gaps" of penetration) and my room is now as black as night! Its a practical darkroom. Heavenly!

Thank you!
