What ceiling material?

I have a high ceiling condition with 2x4 @ 24oc. There is insulation between. This is an industrial warehouse. I would like to use one of the following to finish out the ceiling: A] 1/8 masonite, B] 3/8 drywall or C] 1/2 drywall.

I have a concern for cupping with the 24oc framing however the ceiling is 16' high.

Any thoughts?

You don't mention the span of this framing or if it was engineered for the additional weight of drywall. You would need a minimum of 5/8" with a 24" spacing to prevent it from sagging, if it was rated for the material.

Thanks Ron, the span is in 8' sections. Large roof beams are spaced at 8' centers with the 2x4 or 2x6s spaced 24 oc. The roof has a 1/2 or 3/4 ply.

You could add 1"x4" "strapping" on 16" centers and use 1/2" drywall. A little easier to handle...
