Water on my Pergo floor

Prev owner of our house put Pergo flooring in the kitchen and living room. Well it took 6 years but we did manage to have a water spill in the kitchen. It was on the Pergo for about an hour and puddled up in front of the cabinet.

Now I'm all freaked out, not knowing if just cleaning up the water on TOP was enough or am I in for trouble & surprises tomorrow? I have a fan blowing in the area now, on the floor. What else can I do?

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

I just put it down but not in the kitchen. The tongues are seated fairly tight. try a hair dryer in the gooves maybe but not too close to burn the finish

You shouldn't have a problem with a spill. The substrates are pretty spill tolerant. And if the floor was put in properly, those seams are as tight as a drum.

.. That's what I'm hoping for, thanks. I was startled when I saw it puddling but it couldn't have been there more than half an hour or so. I did get a professional dehumidifier from a friend that owns a carpet cleaning company. I'm letting the dehumidifier run in the kitchen for a day and then hopefully it will be the end of it.

I wouldn't use a dehumid unless I saw swelling. Better safe than sorry I guess, but lame for anyone who has alergies :)

Good luck..

your prob fine and dandy
