we have owned house for a month,,,,,,,it is 100 years old has stone wall ....we knew agent and agent,,,,,well the day we went in with keys there was a puddle in middle of floor contacted agent she said owner said down spot had moved so i went hmmm 3 days later after a all day rain water was coming in as we are stupid and didnt get inspection as appliances new furnace new water tank and shelves are on floor we figured no issue,,,,,we were wrong to make it short we have found a hole were water is coming in at bottom of wall we have tries to put instant concrete in but its no working could be as it didn t get to dry as we had the big snow fall and then the high melt ,...anyways we are at wits end need help

The way your post is written is very confusing.
90 % of basement leaks neads to be addressed from the outside.
Your going to need working gutters with long enough leads from the down spout to get the water as far as possible from the foundation as possible.
Make sure the grade runs away from the house.
No mulch piled up againt the foundation.
Concider a French drain it would be a huge help. (google it)
Sump pump in the basement.

ss it is a long story,,,,,,we have long extensions ,,,they owner lied looks like water has come in before ......there is a sub pump but at other end of where leak is ......it has gotten worse we pulled dry wall off and all on bottom of dry wall has mold there is a concrete ledge so water has ran there before as we fix we found different leak as we pulled more dry wall off we found a hole at bottom
wall we try putting instant cement in there but still leaking a bit .....it is at back of house which we cannt get to out side we will looks like eventually will have to do something outside but we need to fix this hole now

Ayuh,... That doesn't change the fact that stoppin' water is better done Outside the structure...

The Hole is pretty much irrelevant, til ya Stop the water...

I had basement water problem and didn't want to tear out deck and brick patio either. In the backyard (back wall was the wet one) I put a french drain 15' out from the house just to see if it could help.

No water in the basement for over fifteen years now. It got enough water out of the ground to keep it from being saturated all the way up to the basement wall.

If the leak was completly sealed up and there's still all that water behind the wall the hydo static pressure will increase, the water level will rise and just try and find another way in. If you devert the water away from the foundation before it has a chance to soak into the ground the whole problum goes away.

Patching holes on the interior of a 100 year stone foundation with hydraulic cement is like putting a small band-aid on third degrees burns to 75% of one's body. It's guaranteed not to work.

Have you considered legal counsel to deal with this issue of non-disclosure??
