vinyl window have we been taken for a ride???

Hi there, we recently had quite few double pane windows installed .

All of these were supposed to be with diamond gridwork on top and bottom. My question is all of these are supposed to be tripple gard plus which has 3 panes of glass with low e 2

I suspect this is not triple gard plus by heartland due to a few things

1. it has diamond grids ( so i am not even sure with the grids it would be possible as it would make the window to think i could be way off on this.

2. You cannot see a 3rd pane in there anywhere nor a rim that the middle pane would sit on.

I do have the original sticker taken from one of the windows that has on it

7/8" d/s low e
5- 40.08x25.26
32 ARG
Br W/G D/H slim sash
Glazed inside

The other sticker states
heartland windows
1400 double hung hwm-m-011
vinyl window
double glazed
low-E-squared
argon filled

.33 u factor
.31 solar gain coefficient
.50 visable transmittance
.12 air leakage

stats in the book we recieved says we should have received a unit with 10.00 ig ( insulating glass units)
Have we been taken for a ride on this one???

Some window constructions use thin film plastic as third glazing and UV blocking. Check spec sheet for details of construction.

Marcus,

The information you provided indicates a dual - not triple - pane window.

If you think you actually bought triple pane - especially if you paid a triple pane price then you need to contact the window company and have them explain what is going on.

Contact the window company as soon as possible. The longer you wait the more likely you'll get an answer not to your liking.

Marcus says: "The other sticker states".........
"double glazed".

Isn't that the answer as to what style the unit is?
