Twisted Beam Inside Exterior Wall

HELLO ALL!

This is my first time here and I am desperate for some advice, please.

Our home has a two car garage (above ground) under a roof covered deck. All of which are attached the the home. The size of the deck is 20' x 20'. I believe the beam on the far exterior wall adjacent to the garage doors has twisted as my roof in that one corner has come down approx. 2 inches. Looking at the outside of wall siding, while using a level, the siding has become warpped from the top to the bottm approx. 2 feet. I should also mention we live in a area where we can have a lot of snow fall on us in a matter of few days (which is taking place right now).

May I ask two question...

i) Can the wooden beams (3 ea. - 2"x10" fastened together) straighten once
the snow load has melted?

ii) How would someone like myself go about repairing the twisted section
without having to rip our whole house apart?

Thank you very much for spending the time with me sharing your knowledge!

Regards,

finesse

Ayuh,.....

The Very 1st thing you have to do is,.......

Get the Load Off it,.....Grab a Shovel,+ Clear it...........

That'll also give you the answer to question #1...........
Armed with that answer We can move on to question #2.........

I have removed most of the snow. About five feet up from the eaves. It still has not come back to true form. Not even a little...

Any chance you could post a Picture of the twisted beam,+ how it ties things together,..??

I have not torn down anything. There would be very little for anyone to see from a picture. Not sure I can even put one on here! (Would it be difficult?) It is my belief the beam is twisted because the exterior wall where the (patio) floor joists rest on is twisting outwards (away from the house) at the one far corner. It might not even be a beam but a 2x6 wall only. There is gyp-roc on the interior that is not cracked but I can see a bend and on the exterior the siding is still on that now seems warped (on a vertical).

Hope this helps...
