Imagine if you will, a roomful of people..... strangers you've never met.
You enter the room and say "how to get tape of the wall"?
Please try to remember we are people here trying to help other people, not machines.
Now, that being said, what type of tape, what wall, why is the tape there, how long has it been there and other details might help us help you.

Actually, I've found the best way is to get another piece of tape (best kind IMO is packing tape) and fold over the edge so you can grab it easily. Then put it over the tape already on the wall and burnish it with the edge of your fingernail or the edge of a spoon. The point is to completely cover the old tape with the new tape, then using the folded-over edge, peel away very carefully and it should come off.

I know this because the house we bought was apparently occupied by folks who had a lot of stuff taped to the walls, floors, ceilings, woodwork and windows. Six years later I'm still removing it.

A hammer works just as well.....

....then..... after the sheetrock is replaced, mudded, primed and painted, do not put tape on the wall any more.

O.K.--Goof Off---(xylene) go buy a little can.

Now everyone--please resume the silliness.

Now, if 'Goof Off' does not work, the next level would be contacting Warner Brothers/ACME Services.
However, this should be a last resort only for the most stubborn of tape.

Seriously, could you steam it off? The heat should loosen the bond.

I'll bet that would work. It depends on how many pieces of tape-

Steam could be slow.

Many years ago my kids "decorated' the living room with streamers---

I imagine kids are involved here,too.--

Or run a hot iron over it quickly to heat the tape?
Then use a putty knife or chisel?
But who knows what the surface under the tape is? Semi-gloss paint? Flocked wallpaper?
We may never find out.....
