Question

Table saws

I'm in the market for a new table saw. I'm having a hard time deciding between a Grizzly 2 hp 110V/220V or 3 hp 220V. There's about a $400 differenct between the two (3 hp being the most0. I'm a one man show but like woodworking. Is 2 hp adiquate power as to not cause dissapointment? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Not familiar with Grizzley's line, but for $400 there most be other differences besides the motor. I would guess the tolerances are tighter, maybe more iron, etc. It depends on what you have planned for this saw. If belt drive( don't even consider a direct drive), 2HP is probably adequate for a lot of sawing tasks, but 'more power' is always better. And do you have 240V available???

Grizzly has the G1023SLX on sale for $895. For this price a very good deal. If you have the room, you can't go wrong.
I have 4 of Grizzly's woodworking machines and have never had an issue with them.
