Studfinder

My studfinder has disappeared into the general mess, so I need a new one. Over the years I've used a few different models, and it seems to be far from an exact technology. Is there any make/model that you've found to be the best?

Thanks...

Gary

None will read thru tile(that most can afford), and most have a hard time with real plaster, in spite of claims. My Zircom triscanner does a fair job for me, about $30 when I bought it.

I have an old zircon, but needed an AC one. Sears has an AC, stud, Deep scan for floor and plaster, and metal scan for pipes and rebar in concrete. It works for me, about $30.? Be safe, GBAR

I have one that has 2 power levels. Press the button twice for deep penetration!
Its about 40% effective!
My 1948 house has plastered walls, mounted on plaster board that has a foil backing! ??????
The foil kills everything, so have to depend upon knocking on the wall!

Do you have to push her buttons twice? :)
