Sell it on Craigslist or take it to a scrapyard?? Endless possibilities. Make a boom diggity mailbox with it. Good luck.

Most any scrapyard will take steel, you can probably get 40 cents a pound for it. You deliver.

Steel & Metal recycling yard will take them all day long and pay you for it. You just have to get it there.

Do a web search for one in your area.

.10 / lb. near me right now. 24' long might be a challenge to take your self, but I bet if you put it in freecycle someone would come and get it.

Ayuh,.... That's the difference 'tween the scrap price, 'n what'll be paid for a Reusable steel beam...

The scrap yards won't sell ya usable steel at scrap prices....

That's still higher than a steel yard would buy it for reuse, and the post I was referring to said that a SCRAPYARD would pay that.
Actually we don't know enough details to know, maybe they would pay that much depending upon the type of beam it is and how popular that size is (how soon can they move it)

You do not mention the weight or type. I-beam, channel, rail, Z, wide flange? You might just run an ad in your local paper first. There are so many uses, especially by local production shops & repair shops & if you sold it to them they would likely have the equipment to pick it up eliminating that problem for you. nsmbugger
