Default Stanley to buy B&D

Good or Bad? Who will know until time passes. Maybe, just maybe, some or all Black & Decker U. S. jobs will be saved. I'm wondering now how many of the older B&D brand names will disappear. Another sign of the times. My 2¢ for now, David

This would not be Stanley's first venture into the power tool business. They marketed a line under their own name years ago. I would not be surprised to see the Stanley name on power tools again. As far as U.S. jobs, they did not hesitate to ship jobs overseas before. I can't see that trend changing, but I hope I'm wrong. It will be interesting to see what happens to all of the connected brand names like DeWalt, Porter-Cable and others.
