Stains on polished porcelain tiles

Hi,

Just found this great forum.

I have just got my kitchen tiled using polished porcelain tiles. The job looked great after the tiler finished. However when the kitchen Guys or plummer had finished there were a number of black lines on the floor which look like those left from black soled shoes. I have tried to remove the stains using normal cleaners but they will not budge. Anyone have any experience with this or able to recommend a product to remove the stains

Best Regards
Tom

If it is black marks from shoe soles, charcoal lighter fluid will remove it quickly. Just don't light it:icon_cheesygrin:

try some wd-40 / or goof off.. + elbow grease

Thanks for the replies guys. Since I did not have any lighter fluid I used the wd-40 and elbow grease method which removed all the stains completely. The floor looks great now. All that is left to do is seal the tiles.

Thanks again

Best Regards
Tom

"All that is left to do is seal the tiles."

You only need to seal the grout, the porcelain tiles don't really absorb anything.
