spray foam

I have a roof that has inches between roof and ceiling joist as the roof slopes up the gap widens. The small space portion is about 4 or 5 feet span. Is spray foam my best option or building ceiling out like make wider and add insulation? The first option is what I hope to be a logical option as the other way lot a work and lose ceiling height. Thanks.

Northern Ontario. The photo of crawl space you see where the little open wall is where gap starts and gets smaller as it goes towards wall at front of house.

The gap starts at about a foot to about 5'' by the time it gets to exterior wall. Really not enough room to get enough r value and hard to vent unless I pull ceiling down put Valleys but no overhang on roof makes it hard to vent.

This is a sketch I drew of house. On right side of picture you can get idea of small attic space. After the crawl space on right side of the bedroom is what I want to spray foam. Not the crawl space. But is it best option and do I get away with putting Valleys between trusses if I do foam. I would like to avoid taking down ceiling.
