Spaces between loft(ceiling joists)

Definitely need more info. Is the loft existing? Is it something you're thinking of building? Is it currently an attic (and if so what is the size and span of the ceiling joists)?

Framing members are spaced 12" on center, 16" oc, 19.2" oc and 24" oc...Totally depends on a number of factors.

Pictures are worth a thousand words!
