Solar water heating

I just purchased 60' of 3/4" copper tubing that came in a coil. What is best way to use this on my roof to get maximun heat transfer for the water to replenish my home hot water tank? Thanks ,Rebul

This is a joke, right?
Best way would be to run it to your neighbors house and hook it up to his hot water heater when he isn't home. Otherwise it's useless for the stated purpose.
But I did get a laugh out of it, so it wasn't totally useless.

I feel that you are not in USA? What country? More details are needed. Your lack of information hits really funny.

You won't bait us here, fly away Jr. The best place for 60ft of copper tubing might be up Y*r ect.. Seems to be alot of hot air up in there.

Dull black paint on the tubing will absorb more of the 60 watts per square foot that sunlight gives you but the paint would have to withstand hi temps.

By the way, this pipe will hold 1.4 gal of water which will be heated by the equivalent of a 6w heater, at best. This would raise the water temp 1.5 degrees F per hour.

This might not be a practical idea, though it does work in principle.
