Slider window


Can a slider window be installed as a single hung window? Why or why not?

No, a slider CANNOT be installed as a single hung window. That would put the weep holes on one end, where they would do you no good, and you would have no weep holes in the sill, where you need them.

And, from a mechanical standpoint, no balancers, so the individual panels would be in free fall mode.
