Simple insulation question.


I know how many linear feet I need. Its for the floor between floors. Its about 350 linear feet. Total square feet is 486 or 13.5 ft x 36 feet. I want to use r-19 insulation. But everything is calulated in sqft. I have no idea how much I need.

how many batts of this?

Each package contains both a square foot and linear foot label.

On the specs page for the product it says it covers 48.96sf and that each batt is 94" long.

Simple insulation question.


Based on that 48.96 ftyou will need anywhere from 7-9 batt rolls depending on how you cut. You say the floor between floors.. are you insulating for warmth in a two story or are you trying to dampen sound?

Basement isn't heated, and is unfinished, so i need to insulate between floors
